I'm working on a Shropshire Abbeys Trail starting from Ludlow and going via Bromfield, Much, Wenlock, Ironbridge, Wroxeter and the abbeys of Buildwas, Haughmond and Shrewsbury for release in March 2009.

The Ancient Monuments Guide for Shetland is an entirely new venture. There’s lots of brochs in it for those that like prehistoric stuff.  I hope to do something similar for Orkney in 2009, and possibly eventually also Caithness (either on its own or coupled with Sutherland).

Work is now proceeding with a book about Irish medieval churches and cathedrals, a project I’ve long wanted to do  despite it being hopelessly uneconomic. Drafts of the Introduction and Ulster and Leinster gazetteers now exist. In the next few weeks I hope to obtain the remaining pictures for it, and also the last dozen or so pictures I need for the projected Buckinghamshire Churches book. I already have material for a Bedfordshire churches book to work on sometime during the winter.  I  need pictures of the church of St Multose at Kinsale, Co Cork, the Protestant cathedral at Armagh and other old churches in Meath and Limerick  if anyone can help.

A 28 page guide (with 84 illustrations) to Ancient Monuments of The Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland has been prepared, but as of 10th of June it still awaits a final check through and then printing and binding. Lots of nice little churches and impressive drystone forts, plus the odd castle or two, etc.
